About
Washburn Center for Children's mission is to nurture every child and family's well-being and full potential through transformative children's mental health care. As a place of hope and healing, we believe a child's mental health is as important as their physical health. Our compassionate child therapists help children develop the skills to be successful at home, in school and in the community. Last year, nearly 4,000 children and their families turned to us for more than 70,000 hours of mental health care to cope with trauma, anxiety and depression. Our full continuum of programs includes site-based therapy, crisis stabilization, intensive in-home and school-based therapies. With wrap-around services, such as Case Management, therapists work alongside families to develop care plans to lessen stressors that prevent children and families from rebounding from factors that impact stability. In addition to outpatient centers located in North Minneapolis, Brooklyn Center and Edina, 65 community-based clinicians provide intensive care in family's homes, and 30 have offices in area schools.
