unCommon Construction is a high school apprenticeship program that uses the build process to engage and empower high school students with the skills and network to be successful in their next step out of high school. During on site build days and framing character sessions, apprentices from different partnering schools throughout the city develop the soft skills necessary to lead the workforce they choose to enter after graduating.
Minneapolis is the first expansion site of this program, founded in New Orleans in 2015.
