About
The KAYSC provides out-of-school programming for hundreds of underserved youth with the goals of building leadership skills, career readiness, and fostering confidence and appreciation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). We incorporate a Social Justice lense and coined the phrase "STEM Justice". STEM Justice : A movement to redefine STEM as a tool for addressing systems of oppression. What that looks like for the young people we serve is making a way to understand that science is in everything we do, strengthen and define STEM skills then apply our new found knowledge.
